Where to eat, what to do, and where to go -- this is your Austin, Texas travel guide for a memorable girls getaway!

Every year, me and my best girls take a trip - sometimes we keep it domestic and others we take it international.
What I love most about our annual getaways is that no matter where we are located or where life takes us (new cities, jobs, kids, relationships), we make it a point to celebrate, love up on, lift up, and most importantly, show up for one another. With 20+ years of sisterhood, it’s always important for us to find these moments!
This year, we decided to take our talents to Austin for a quick, but fun trip. We quickly learned it was the perfect travel location for fun, relaxation and all things in between.
Here are 5 things to try for a memorable girls getaway!
1. Rent a Car and Head to San Marcos Premium Outlets
If you’re into shopping like we are, San Marcos is a must when you’re visiting Austin. It’s about 45 minutes - 1 hour outside of the city and totally worth the drive if you have some time during your stay.
The outlets features some of the high end luxury stores we were looking for but also many affordable everyday options as well, so it’s a bit of something for everyone in your group!
Tip: if you do visit some of the luxury stores, absolutely make sure you grab the salespersons card/contact info! If there’s a specific item you’re looking for, you can always check back in with them to see what new items they may have in stock.
2. Get Dressed Up and have Dinner at a Cute (& Yummy) Restaurant
Nothing's better than getting cute with your girls and heading out for a night on the town! Of course, that usually starts with dinner, so the restaurant must give you some good ambiance and great food.
A spot that fits the bill is Ciclo - a modern Texas kitchen housed in the Four Seasons Hotel. When chef and world-renowned restaurateur Richard Sandoval is involved, you know you're in for a treat!

3. Cocktails at The Roosevelt Room
Nestled in downtown Austin's Warehouse District, The Roosevelt Room is an award-winning cocktail bar serving some of THE best drinks!
They have small bites to keep your tummy satisfied while you indulge in their craft cocktails.
Reservations are strongly suggested, especially if it’s a weekend night! Don't forget to enjoy the lounge upstairs if you can.

4. Indulge in a Weekend Brunch
Good food + mimosas (or a Bloody Mary if that’s your thing) = a perfect girlfriend’s hang! We decided to check out Jacoby's, located in East Austin, which is a family operated, ranch-to-table restaurant. They are also a neighborhood market featuring an evolving collection of modern and vintage goods, artisan foods and other unique finds!
5. Try Wine on Tap at Wanderlust Wine Co.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was visiting Wanderlust Wine Co. Unlike your traditional winery, they are the world's largest self-pour wine on tap winery! We went to their downtown location, however they also have an East Austin location with an event bigger wine selection (around 80 wines on tap).
The experience was such a fun twist to the normal wine tasting experience! They have indoor and outdoor seating (we opted to enjoy the weather outdoors). Take some photos at their cute photo booth in the patio area!
